Bobby Jones was the greatest amateur golfer ever. He won 13 major
tournaments - second only to Jack Nicklaus - before retiring at the tender age of 28. In one year, he won what was then co nsidered the Grand Slam of tournament golf - the U.S. Open and Amateur, and The British Open
and Amateur. Bobby Jones was clearly the best player of his time. Bobby was also very intelligent, well educated, and extremely articulate. He was able to write in
clear detail about every aspect of the "feel" of the swing. Bobby learned by feel, and he taught by feel.
During his prime winning years, 1927 through 1935, he wrote about golf for a twice
weekly syndicated newspaper column. The total material from those columns was said to have equaled enough material for five books. For this book, originally
published in 1966, Charles Price, the noted golf author, was asked to extract what he felt was the best for only one book. The resultant material was then sent to Jones and meticulously
reworked until he was certain he had said everything in the most concise, and clearest manner possible. The final product is, (in our mind), some of the best written instruction the world has ever produced.
We highly recommend this book to serious students of the golf swing. BROWSE/ORDER Hardcover (You may put it in your cart and return)
