The Works of Jim Flick Jim Flick is known as America's Master Teacher. A senior
member of Golf Magazine's teaching staff, he was voted teacher of the year in 1988. Of many famous students, the most notable i s Jack Nicklaus who turned to Jim after the passing on of his lifelong teacher, Jack Grout. Nicklaus
was so impressed with Jim Flick that the two developed the Nicklaus-Flick Golf Schools using Jack's name to draw students, and Flick's methods for teaching.
What we like most about Flick's teachings is that they are directed at developing the essential basics, a freewheeling swing in balance. And this can only come from
the feel associated with swinging the club head, and sensing the weight. It is his opinion as well as ours that the body moves to accomodate the swinging of the
hands and arms. For that reason, we believe Jim's work validates our choice of Ernest Jones'
Swing the Clubhead as the Number One Book for beginners.
The more we study Jim Flick's work, the more impressed we become. We recommend his works to eager students of the golf swing as a complement to our top two or three recommendations for books and videos.
